Q: I have a c10 anyone know the default password please much appreciated.

Hi there, if you mean the original wifi password, it's 12345678. Thanks.

Q: How to update the firmware?

SOOCOO Camera firmware are the same. Such as S100pro camera firmware upgrade:

Download the firmware from soocoo officical website. Different camera models have the different firmware. Please confirm your camera model to download the right firmware.

Note: Make sure the camera is connected to a power source or has more than 70% batter.

1. Download the firmware to the SD card root directory(The file name is “FWHT108M.bin"), then put the SD card into the device.

2. Turn on the camera, the system program will update automatically, about 1-3 minute, update successful the camera automatically turn on.

3. After updating, the camera will turn on automatically, it means that the updating had finished, then take out the TF card and delete the file 'FWHT108M.bin', or format the TF Card in the camera(If the firmware file not delete, when you turn on the camera, the system program will update automatically again).

4.Update finished, the Version is: 20170801V2.0. PS: 20170801V2.0 is the firmware no.

PS:  SOOCOO Camera Firmware Download Here.

Q: Hi, Can the S300 Work with power and mic cable connected at the same time please?

Hi there, Mic and Power cable can't be connected at the same time. Because they are the same input. Thanks.

Q: How to choose the best memory card for my cameera?

It is recommended that you buy Class 10 MEMORY CARDS. More than 32 gb memory card, suggest you to format the memory card in the camera before using.

Insert the memory card, camera error, you can also try the troubleshooting formatted memory card.

Q: Is the the remote water proof. I don't see anything saying that it is. I have the the S300

Hi there, Sorry that the remote isn't waterproof. Thanks.

This little camera is full of some amazing features and takes wonderful and crisp videos Review by Abe Ali

Bought this camera and just tried it out doing some biking. This little camera is full of some amazing features and takes wonderful and crisp videos. One of my most favorite features is the ability to go from super wide 170 degrees down to 140 or 110 degrees. Lot less distortion and more natural videos. The 20MP shots were stunning to me. I have used very similar cameras over the last couple of years but this is by far my most favorite. In two weeks I will be taking this baby diving with me and I can't wait to see what it does under water. It even has a setting for diving that provides red filtering. I also had the opportunity to ask the seller some technical questions and they were very responsive and helpful. Can't be happier! this is a quality device and I highly recommend it!

Perhaps, the best sports camera in its price range Review by Jeu-de-paume

I needed an action camera for my snorkeling vacation. I never used action cameras before and wanted to try something that is (1) easy to use, (2) produces high quality pictures, and (3) cheap. This camera hit all the marks on my list. Here are some highlights, and pros & cons.

I attached some pictures from my trip to this review. They are just as they were taken & are not altered in any way. I think they pretty much speak for themselves, but just in case — I am very happy and satisfied with how my shots turned out. Most of them are like this: no problem with focus, the colors and contrast are great (the dynamic range seems decent for a $50-$60 camera). I didn't have a chance to try it in low-light conditions, but both my underwater and daylight pictures turned out great. The videos turned out great as well (they are too heavy to upload right now; perhaps, I'll attempt to upload one later). I am really not a good photographer by any means, so for me, the fact that so many of my vacation pictures turned out well speaks to how easy it is to deal with this camera.

Despite coming with little instructions (something other reviewers complained about too), this camera is incredibly easy to navigate. Regimes (video, photo, and display pictures/videos) are changed by pressing the front button; menu is scrolled through by pressing side buttons; video recording, picture taking, or item selection (OK) is the top button. It can get tedious (since you have to go through the entire menu using just two buttons), but it is not complicated at all. Menu items are labeled in a pretty intuitive way (e.g. "loop recording", "diving mode", etc), so again there should be no problem here. The only problem for me was "resolution". It has 11 technically-labeled modes (for example, UHDP24, QHDP30, etc) and I have no clue what the difference is, so I just stuck with whatever was set by default (turned out well). Here is a more detailed (although a bit outdated from what I can see) description of the camera's menu items:

NO TIME-LAPSE PHOTO (but yes time-lapse video):
the camera CANNOT be set to take pictures every N seconds, despite having "time-lapse record" on its menu. The "time-lapse record" function records video files, capturing frames every 1, 3, 5 or 10 seconds. The quality of the end file will be video (not as high as actual still frames that the camera is capable of taking, it seems).
This is something I initially thought would be a problem, but I ended up not missing this function at all. Given its not-very-impressive battery life, it was better to put the camera into "screen save" and only take pictures when something exciting comes by.

in the continuous video mode the battery would only last me about 20-30 minutes. In the non-continuous mode (put on "screen save" and take pictures/short videos) the battery would hold up for about 1.5 hours (although I never used it up completely, I would replace the battery after a while of it going on its last bar). It needs to be said that it gets to the last bar fairly quickly, but after that it seems to work for quite a while. However, just in case, I followed other people's advice here and purchased a $13 pack of 2 replacement batteries with a charger (which was also good, because this camera doesn't come with a charger; instead, you can charge one battery at a time by connecting the camera to a laptop). Having 4 batteries proved very useful; I would highly recommend it.

NOT REALLY 4K VIDEO OR 20MP PHOTO (but it didn't matter to me):
in all fairness, this is not my conclusion (I am not tech-savvy enough for that), but I have read and watched a ton of reviews (where I also learned smart words like "dynamic range") before settling on this camera, and some of them (which do provide you with plausible technical details) say that the lens sensor on this camera is NOT technically capable of producing 4K. So instead (if you pick the 4K resolution) it will digitally re-format your video into 4K (without truly adding any more quality/detail). The same goes for 20MP resolution on this camera: it is not capable of taking 20MP shots, so it simply digitally adds more pixels (noise?) to the picture. However! It is capable of taking 12MP photos and 1060 videos, and for me it was more than sufficient for truly great (for my modest purposes) pics and videos. (you don't really need 20 megapixels unless you want to print a giant poster).

Just don't forget to buy one; that's it. I bought a 32GB SandDisk Ultra microSDHC (because some people said 64GB was acting up). But I think 64GB should be fine as well.

BOTTOMLINE: This really is a GREAT CAMERA for its price, especially if you (like myself) are purchasing your first action camera, and just want some nice-looking vacation pics.

This review is my honest opinion of this product as a customer. I was NOT paid or otherwise compensated for writing it, and I purchased the camera with my own money. (I simply appreciate thorough reviews when I look for products, and am trying to do the same for others).

Best Action Cam Feature for Feature In This Price Range Review by Mark Bender

First things first. I already own a 4K action camera with the same NOVATEK NTK96660 chip and the same lens system. So, I already knew what I was buying. The SOOCOO 4K has stellar, and I mean stellar vibration reduction in camera. It's spooky how good it is. To me, that is probably the second biggest purchase point besides the 96660 chipset. In fact, it seems better than my previous cam. I'll have to do a side-by-side one day to see. The reason I wanted to purchase this one is that my daughter and I wanted to have a cam with a live LCD screen -- it makes a ton of difference sometimes.

So, now to the review. A simple pro/con list should suffice as most of you are likely to know the existing features. I just want to highlight the standouts here.

* NTK96660 chip which allows for excellent overall performance
* Sony IMX 078 image sensor for superb colors and top of the line resolution modes for an action cam at this price point
* 4K @ 24fps - yeah, good luck finding this speed and res on ANY action cam at ANY price - do yourself a favor and purchase a Class 10, UHS-1 or better high speed MicroSDHC. You will need the write speed for proper 1080p or higher recording.
* 20M image stills - that's better than nearly any action cam on the market right now
* 2 inch live image LCD screen (not touch screen, but very good resolution)
* Crazy excellent gyro stabilization mode
* Diving Mode - uses some sort of red light enhancement - I don't dive and haven't tested this but I've heard from others that this is a good thing
* Audible alerts (can be useful for some - I turn them off in the menu)
* Very easy to understand in-camera menu
* Nice lens - not sure of manufacturer, but very nice quality
* Wifi - You can connect using a ton of different free recording apps. I believe you can search Soocoo in the app stores as a start. I couldn't test mine as I think I have competing wifi signals from nearby devices that prevent me from getting a good connection. It happens on both of my devices.

* Camera comes with 2 budget Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) batteries that hold a dismal charge - they deplete rapidly and take a while to recharge in-camera since there is no external charger supplied
* There are no aftermarket lithium-polymer (Li-Po) batteries that I can find which is the very first upgrade I recommend for these devices. Li-Po
batteries provide a substantial increase in filming time. I was disappointed to see that these did not have the Hero 3 battery size like my previous device did. This device takes the SJ cam battery size (SJ4000/SJ5000/SJ6000). If you know of a better battery of this size, please let me know in the comments.
* Waterproof case is very hard to open. It's a struggle every time to remember how. However, it does prevent accidental opening of the case while under water, so this can be both a con AND a pro depending on your point of view.
* Adapters and mounts, though convenient and very configurable, don't often tighten down very well. Look for better quality clamps elsewhere or use duct tape. You rarely ever go wrong with duct tape. Or bacon.
* Battery door bulges out a bit when closed. This is due to the foam used to help keep the battery tightly locked in place. I worry the battery cover may break after repetitive usage. Good luck finding a replacement so be cautious.

Bottom line: This camera has it where it counts. In my opinion, the pros far outweigh the cons (though the battery issue irks the crap out of me). With an action cam, you want great video, great color, and great image stabilization. The Soocoo 4K delivers on all three counts.
